How it runs?
Donated vehicles are collected by pickup volunteers, serviced & repaired by local mechanics, before being taken to Ukraine by our partner Blue-Yellow.
Bought vehicles. In order to reduce the cost of transportation, we try to buy cars that are geographically closest to Ukraine.
Why 4x4?
The lifespan of 4x4 vehicle in Ukraine's war zone is said to be around 1 week.
Off-road cars are being used as 'expendable goods'. The 4x4 pickups complement traditional light militarised vehicles, which are limited in number, expensive to run, and for some tasks are less agile than off-road cars.
Supporting this cause has a context of helping to bring the war in Ukraine to an end, rather than dealing with its consequences.
